1936 AJS V Twin Commercial Model 36/2 1000cc
Priced at £18,500. This bike has been confirmed by the AJS & Matchless owners club as being completed and tested by the factory in 1936. Being the commercial model, it has foot boards, and the gauges in the headlight instead of in the fuel tank (as the home and export models). There is also a reverse gear for sidecar convenience. The bike comes with a selection of historical documents including lots of old MOT certificates going back to the early 2000's. There is also an August 2019 copy of Vintage & Classic Motorcycle magazine showing the bike being ridden at an event, a scan of which is included below. One previous owner of the machine completed a 1,600 mile round trim from Harvington to John O'Groats and back on the bike, this was in 2010 and is covered in the September issue of the Evesham Journal. Comes with the current V5C registration document.
