NORTON 1930 Model 18 500cc
This Norton was imported into Australia from the UK on the 6th of March 1930. It was held in a collection in Queensland, Australia for many years before being bought by a private collector. The current owner purchased the Norton in the early 1990s. He had gone with the intention of buying an Austin 7, but his daughter didn't like the car and instead they both fell in love with this Norton. In 2016, it was brought back to the UK with him and restoration began. On September 25th, 2018 the crankshaft was overhauled by Alpha. Restoration was completed in 2021 and the motorcycle was registered on 15th April 2021.
This motorcycle benefits from matching (factory records) frame and engine numbers. It has a current DVLA V5C registration document, is registered under the 'Historic Vehicle' class for free road tax and is MOT exempt. The owner is now of advanced age and trusts that the next owner will experience the same enrichment he enjoyed.
