1954 Ariel Y13 Special 750cc
Price now slashed to £16,000. Here is the story behind this most unusal special, as related to us. An abandoned BSA Y13 was found in some woodland in the late 1970's, the engine was removed & came into the hands of the Portsmouth gentleman who created this machine. Then he obtained an Ariel frame for the running gear, as well as some parts from other various machine (including a petrol cap from a SAAB!). Once the Special was finished he proceeded to clock up several thousand miles on it & when not being ridden the bike was kept in the front room of his bungalow with another 17 classic bikes - & yes it was apparently a large front room! Unfortunately he passed away & we purchased the Special from his family. Has an old buff logbook & a couple of old computerised registration documents, which gives some history. Comes with a current DVLA V5C registration document, is registered under the 'Historic Vehicle' class for free road tax & has the added advantage of being MOT exempt.
