1967 Matchless G80CS 500cc

Priced at £8,250. This very smart Matchless G80CS is one from near the end of Plumstead production (Plumstead Works closed in 1969). We are pleased to be able to offer this fine motorcycle on behalf of the local owner, a toolmaker & Vee twin enthusiast, who we have known for many years. The bike has been in his hands since 2001 after being repatriated from the US where it was sold new. Sadly age is catching up with him, forcing a reluctant sale. There is history in the form of various US & UK documentation, dating information from the AJS & Matchless Owners Club (see below) as well as a workshop manual & 'Pitmans' Book of the Matchless & other material. Has a current DVLA V5C registration document, is registered under the 'Historic Vehicle' class for free road tax & has the added advantage of being MOT exempt.
