1963 Velocette Venom 500cc
Priced at £7,350. First registered in Hertfordshire on the 18th of July 1963, this smashing Velocette Venom was sold by us to the last Norfolk owner in 2000. Having had a lot of enjoyment out of the machine for over two decades, illness has now forced a reluctant sale. During the time he had the bike he spent a fortune on an engine rebuild, including having Phil Pearson balance the crankshaft assembly. The electrics ave been uprated to 12 volts & a Criterion alternator conversion fitted. There is a whole wallet file full of invoices/receipts (see photograph below) & other paperwork. He used the Velocette a lot, witness all the past MOT certificates & past road tax discs below. Peter, our mechanic, went for a good test ride & reported that this is one fast bike, quickly & easily making the legal limit, with great handling to boot. Full history in the form of the original buff cardboard logbook, an old V5 document & an old V5C document. Comes with a current DVLA V5C registration document, is registered under the 'Historic Vehicle' class for free road tax & is MOT exempt.
