1960 Norton Cafe Racer 500cc
Priced reduced to SOLD from SOLD. First registered on the 24th of March 1960 in Belfast, this desirable project was in the process of having various modifications & alterations carried out for its conversion to a cafe racer/road racer. Sadly the work was never completed due to the owner passing away. The bike offers great potential, being in need of further work; with the price being reduced to allow for this. When completed this Norton should make a most rewarding motorcycle for the next fortunate owner. The bike has a twin cylinder Domminator 88 500cc engine fitted into a wideline Featherbed frame, with swept back pipes & clip ons, as well as central oil tank, racing seat & large Manx type petrol tank. A small selection of new parts Comes with the bike, including another twist grip (see last photograph). The engine turns over, the clutch frees & the gears select statically. This bike has history in the form of the original buff cardboard logbook & a later green cardboard registration Book V5 (NI). Comes with the latest DVLA V5C registration document..
