1920 Matchless Model H2 V twin 1000cc & sidecar
Priced at SOLD. First registered on the 5th of August 1921 this bike is a Norfolk barn revelation (& yes, we do still find them). Said to have been bought by the last owner in 1958 for the princely sum of 7/6d! This is the MAG IOE (inlet over exhaust) engined V twin model with a matching Matchless sidecar, presented here in extremely original condition (metal work has been blasted & primed by previous owner), for one extemely lucky person to take on, as a marvellous restoration project. It should be noted that this machine benefits from having period electric lights & switch fitted, as well as a 'Watford' 60 mph speedometer. Comes with a letter from the London County Council regarding registration details, the latest DVLA V5C registration document (still bearing it's original registration mark), is MOT exempt & is registered under the 'Historic Vehicle' class for free road tax. As frame number 'H22' is so low, could this be the earliest example of this model known?
NOTE: - This motorcycle & sidecar is stored off site due to space considerations, so if you wish to view please give us at least 24 hours notice to bring the outfit to our shop.
