1953 Matchless G80S 500cc
Priced at SOLD. First registered on the 23rd of May 1953 in Essex, where it has spent its entire life until coming to us., This fine example from the AMC stable has been the hands of the last owner since 2005, during which time the machine was ridden regularly, as evidenced by numerous past MOT certificates & old road tax discs. We have been assured that the machine has a larger sprocket on the crankhaft (two extra teeth); this makes for taller gearing which is more suited to modern roads. Comes with the latest DVLA V5C registration document, an older V5C, the original R.F.60 buff cardboard logbook & some invoices (including one from AMC themselves). Benefits from being MOT exempt under the pre 1960 rule & is registered under the 'Historic Vehicle' class for road tax (i.e. free road tax). This bike also bears its original registration number of WHK 353, which is transferable.
Note: - This bike Comes with a dual seat & a pair of rear foot rests, see last photograph.
