Andy Tiernan Classics - Dealer in British Motorcycles
1955 Royal Enfield Bullet 350cc.
Priced at £SOLD. Originally supplied under special order in the non standard colour of black by the factory, through George W. Parsons & Son of Redhill, to Bryan Amos on 25th April 1955, & first registered on the 1st May 1955. Bryan owned this motorcycle up until his death in the early 1990's. Bryan used the bike for numerous road trials, usually seen with his wife riding pillion, & more often than not winning a trophy! The trophy's won Comes with the bike. Bryan was so successful in road trials that the Royal Enfield factory took an interest, & had the bike back to fettle it for him! This machine has been featured in numerous articles, & in Peter Howdle's book 'Best of British'. A very complete & full history is included with the Royal Enfield, including - Royal Enfield Owners Club paperwork, many old tax discs & MOT certificates, the original Bill of Sale from George Parsons & Son, a motorcycle log book kept by Bryan Amos for the bike, a entry from the machine registry of the bikes details, the original cardboard buff logbook, petrol coupons from the Suez crisis, many old photographs, newspaper cuttings, articles, plus lots, lots more. On Bryans passing, the bike was left to his good friend Don Morley (the well known motorcycle photographer, journalist & author), has now reluctantly decided to sell. Since Don never actually rode this bike during the time he had it, the Royal Enfield has only really had one owner/rider from new! The bike has a current DVLA V5C registration document & an MOT until 22/03/2012. This must be a Royal Enfield mans dream machine!
