1938 Velocette MOV 250cc. Priced at £SOLD. This machine has been shed stored, oiled up & covered in a tarp. since 1958, & was in the previous owners, fathers hands since June 1945. This gentlman was a dispatch rider for the BBC (at a radio centre in Wooferton, Herefordshire) during & after the war, only losing his job after being prosecuted for dangerous driving in 1949! Loads of history & paperwork Comes with this motorcycle, including a series of tax discs which should enable the new purchaser to retain its original Birmingham number. This registration number was originally issued in July/1938.

The engine turns over nicely with some compression, unfortunately the spark is weak & so no attempt to start this fine bike. Clutch operates well & gears select statically. Wheel alignment is good, & there is no evidence of heavy rusting on the frame. The petrol tank is in particularly nice order as it stored separately in the loft. A Miller 8" headlamp is fitted. Because of the machines originality & provenence, this is a real restorers dream.
