1937 Panther 250cc Priced at £SOLD Steeped in history. The machine has old and new logbooks and it's original reg number last MOTed in 2003 and has sat in a museum enviroment ever since.
The history goes as far as we can tell it was acquired by Henry John Ralph Bankes when he was a student at Uni before the war and returned with it to Kingston Lacy estate near Wimborne in Dorset.
There is an apocryphal story that King George V1 used to stay at Kingston Lacy on occasssions during the war and is reported to have ridden the machine in the vast estate grounds... but it is only a "story" .
