1950 BSA Bantam D1 125cc
SOLD This Bantam has been in the same ownership since 1956. Sadly the long term last owner passed away and the bike has come to us via a family member who is very sad to see the bike go. The Late last owner meticulously documented the maintenance and mileage over the years and on the 27th march 1988 he hit 100,000 miles! The sticker noting this still remains on the speedometer. This bike has paperwork which includes the hand written receipt from 1956 when the late last owner bought the machine for £50. I have included a photograph below of the late owner which we are told is from 1956 when he was 18 Years old shortly after he bought the bike. We are told that on the back of the photograph it is written that he was the 3rd owner at that time and the bike had done 13000 miles. This little bantam was his loyal companion for nearly 70 years and there are lots of hand written notes detailing all the maintenance that was carried out over the time. There are 30 tax disks collected from years gone by, 1957, 1961 and a consecutive run of discs from 1980 - 2009. The registration number is also quite unique and transferable. This bike has a great history and the family would love to see it go to a good home. Comes with the latest V5C registration document.
