1939 Velocette MAC 350cc

SOLD. Velocette Factory records held by the Velocette Owners Club (last image below) show that on the 27/9/1939 this MAC was sent to dealers, Pikes in Exeter, then onto another agent in Taunton, to be sold to the customer, A. C. Thomson (in Taunton). We handled this machine a few months ago when it came to us from a Somerset owner who had the machine in his possession for at least eight years. During this time He informed us that he had done extensive work on the bike & had the engine running. We sold it to a hobbyist in Cheshire who did some further refurbishments such as adding fuel lines and the correct speedo drive but has let it go due to ill health. The new owner will need to carry out some fine fettling before carefully re-introducing the Velocette back on to the road. We are aiming to do a video of it running in the next few days. The bike is registered, comes with a V5C and qualifies for free road tax under the 'Historic Vehicle' class & is MOT exempt.
