1914 Douglas 2 3/4hp 350cc

SOLD This machine was owned for over 40 years by the late Frank Dolman from Cambridge who was the eminent early Douglas guru. On his passing the bike went to a talented Essex engineer who completed most of the work up to a running engine state and a primer finish, ready for the new owner to complete. Due to a change in domestic circumstances he decided to let the machine go and we are pleased to offer it on the market. Its certainly an early machine, it is dated in the documents as 05/01/1921, this is the period when UK registration documents went countrywide. We are led to believe the machine is early 1914 which may well make it eligible for the pioneer run. The interesting feature of this bike is that it comes with a kickstart and clutch. We are unclear weather these were sold as an extra at the time or if they are a later add on. Comes with the latest V5C and is registered as "Historic Vehicle"
