1951 Vincent Series C Comet 500cc

Priced at SOLD. According to the copy of the Works Order Form this Vincent was dispatched by rail to to a customer called Greens (motorcycle dealer), in Newton Abbott on the 18th of September 1951. The original buff logbook shows that the bike was first registered on the 4th of October 1951 & sold to James Alan Stacey on the same day, there is a letter from Mr. Stacey shown below. We are very pleased to be able to offer this marvelous Vincent on behalf of a good friend of ours who is a long time well known Vincent aficionado, who purchased it in 1980, sold it to a friend & then bought it back again. He has kept this motorcycle in marvellous condition & clocked up a number of miles on it. The bike has correct matching numbers & excellent history in the form of the original buff logbook, many receipts/invoices, past MOT certificates, past road tax discs, copy of the Works Order Form, a Vincent HRD Owners Club Official Machine Dating Certificate & more. Has a current DVLA V5C registration Document, is registered under the 'Historic Vehicle' classs for free road tax & benefits from being MOT exempt.
