1951 Matchless G9 500cc
Priced at SOLD. First registered on the 24th of October 1951 in Birmingham, this early twin has come to us from an Essex AMC enthusiast who is trimming down his collection. The previous owner stored the bike in a bus garage until he passed away & the bike went to his son. The last owner obtained it in 2013 in running condition. A nice Matchless in unrestored condition, so could be reintroduced back to the road as is, or restored if desired. Has history in the form of an old buff cardboard logbook & a Certificate of Authenticity from the AJS & Matchless Owners Club. The factory records state the bike was sent to Kings Motors Ltd. of Wolverhampton on the 13th of July 1951. Has a current DVLA V5C registration document, will qualify for free road tax under the 'Historic Vehicle' class & doesn't require an MOT for road use.
