1957 Matchless G3LS 350cc

Priced at SOLD. Dispatched from the factory on 25th of February 1957 to Cleare & Company in Woolwich High Street (this was possibly the nearest AMC dealer to the factory! Practically in Plumstead!) & still retianing its original frame & engine numbers, this Matchless has come to us from the last Essex owner, who is a club stalwart & a well known AMC man. He is thinning out his collection as it has now got rather large! He purchased this particular example in 2010 after the bike had been stored since 1966 as it was a non-runner. He had the engine completely stripped & professionally rebuilt a few years ago, work included a new big end, new piston rings & a new carburettor. Untouched cosmetically this Matchless has an amazing patina. FInding a bike is this condition is most unusual. Has a current DVLA V5C registration document, will qualify for free road tax under the 'Historic Vehicle' class & has no need of an MOT for road use.
