1972 BSA A65L Lightning 650cc
Priced at SOLD. Registered new in on the 17th of August 1972 when the Hertfordshire motorcycle dealers, Clarkes, sold it to its first owner in St. Albans. The first owner kept the bike until 2002, when he sold it back to Clarkes. The shop kept it, using it from time to time & finally selling it to us following Mr. Clarkes retirement & the shops closure. The paintwork is original, except the petrol tank. We sold it to a BSA enthusiast in Sussex, who has now sold it back to us as he is selling all his machines except of one, One of the last BSA's built by the Small Heath factory, has correct matching numbers, comes with past MOT certificates & past computerised registration documents. Peter, our mechanic, has taken this BSA for a ride & reports that it is a lovely runner! Has a current DVLA registration document, is registered under the 'Historic Vehicle' class for free road tax & has the perk of being MOT exempt.
