1972 BSA A65L Lightning 650cc

Priced at SOLD. Registered new in Hertfordshire on the 17th of August 1972 when the Hertfordshire motorcycle dealers, Clarkes, sold it to its first owner in St. Albans. This gentleman owned the BSA until 2002, when he sold it back to Clarkes. The shop kept it, using it from time to time & finally selling it to us following Mr. Clarkes retirement & the closing of the dealership. The paintwrok is original, excepting the petrol tank. This is one of the last BSA's built by the old firm, has correct matching numbers, comes with past MOT certificates & past computerised registration documents. Peter, our mechanic, has taken this BSA for a ride & reports that it is a lovely runner! Has a current DVLA registration document, is registered for free road tax under the 'Historic Vehicle' class & has the advantage of being MOT exempt.
