1943 BSA WM20 500cc
Priced at SOLD. This is an ex WD motorcycle, complete with Ministry record plate inside toolbox lid, that was registered for civilian use on the road in Nottinghamshire on the 16th July 1969, when it was finally released from service. The last Suffolk owner purchased this bike in 1971 & over the years he has spent considerable money on it - including a new ex WD engine from Russell Motors in November 1977 for £85 (receipt with the bike), a gearbox rebuild by Frank Dolman, the carburettor was recoditioned & more (a selection of receipts/invoices shown below). The bike, which is cosmetically finished in black, is a project that is nearly completed, now needing fine fettling. It is supplied with a WW2 field stand, rubber knee grips & a rear pillion pad (shown below), the toolbox contains a period horn, pullers & other items (also shown below). Has its original green cardboard logbook & we are in the process of getting it registered with the DVLA with a new V5C registration document. A good opportunity to obtain a military motorcycle at a good price!
