1951 Vincent Series C Rapide 1000cc
Priced at SOLD. Factory records tell us that this Vincent was dispatched from factory in November 1951 to Humphreys, London & was registered on 2nd of November 1951. Purchased by a local Suffolk engineer & good friend in 2011, recently he was finding the Vincent increasing ly heavy to manage & has now traded it in for a lighter Royal Enfield Bullet 350cc. During his tenure he spent a lot of money - work included a full petrol tank refurbishment by Lewis & Templeton, a new electric start, a new BTH magneto, two new carburettors, a new centre stand, an original rear lamp & a Black Shadow speedometer fitted. Also prior to his ownership a lot of money had been spent on the engine. There are three files with the bike (one history file containing many invoices/receipts, one file of instruction sheets/other technical information & one file of spares lists/other technical information). Has a current DVLA V5C registration document, is registered for free road tax under the 'Historic Vehicle' class & benefits from being MOT exempt.
