1930 Matchless Silver Arrow 400cc
Priced at SOLD. Registered new on the 6th of June 1930 in Wigan, Lancashire; this rather unusual V twin has been in long term storage. Matchless made the Silver Arrow from late 1929 until 1932 (for the 1930/1/2 seasons) only. The engine was a narrow angle (18 degrees) V twin (similar to the Lancia narrow angle V four car engines) side valve. The narrow angle allow for the cylinders to be cast in one unit, as also was the cylinder head. This bike has an old buff cardboard logbook & is an excellent vintage class project that is eligible for the Banbury run & other class events. Comes with a computerised V5 registration document, will qualify for free road tax under the 'Historic Vehicle' class & is MOT exempt.
