1923 Smart 2hp 200cc
Priced at SOLD. This enchanting French lightweight motorcycle was manufactured in Paris, with production running from 1922 until 1927, the company claimed to be making 100 machines per day. The bike features a 2 speed gear & interesting front suspension. This will make for a rather unusual machine for vintage class events (e.g. The Banbury Run). Peter, our mechanic, has now fitted a new petrol tap, fuel line & throttle return spring. The machine started readily & has completed our yard test, see video below. This motorcycle is now ready for the new owner to carry out the fine fettling before road use, as it has been a museum exhibit for a number of years. We have completed a NOVA (Notification Of Vehicle Arrivals) with HMRC, which will allow the bike to be registered with the DVLA. The motorcycle will be eligable for free road tax under the 'Historic Vehicle' class & will be MOT exempt
