1972 Triumph T100R Daytona 500cc
Priced at £6,750. Lots of money spent having a professional motorcycle engineer carry out work, invoice for over £5,000 to hand. We are offering this motorcycle on behalf of the owner, who has supplied the following information
The bike is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition, everything works as it should.
FRAME and CYCLE PARTS.
Full strip, powder coating, 2 pack on sidepanels, tank professionally painted . Stainless rim and spokes, new tyres. Swinging arm bushes replaced, Taper roller bearings fitted to steering head. Forks rebuilt with new bushes and seals. Handling is excellent. New Exhaust system, headers and silencers. New chains, cables, wiring instruments and speedo drive box. New Saddle.
These tanks have only one tap, so fitted with On/Off/Reserve. Stainless steel fasteners throughout. Stainless steel fork top nuts and Steering Head nut.
BRAKES.
Standard rear brake with new shoes. Front 8” TLS brake, built with new stainless linkage, new shoes and carefully adjusted. ENGINE GEARBOX PRIMARY DRIVE.
Cylinder-head work by Serdi engineers. Latest (best) cylinder head, rocker boxes have inspection covers to allow easier setting of tappets. New valves, guides and seats. Rocker spindles fitted to rocker boxes to eliminate the weep often seen here. Rockers shimmed to fit (factory used only spring washers!).
New barrel and pistons (standard bores) New mains and big end shells. Crank dynamically balanced.
Complete NOS gear cluster and shafts. 4 Spring clutch New springs and plates. ELECTRICS.
Rewired to modern standards using new cable with correct colours.
New three phase 180W alternator stator and rotor. Solid state regulator/rectifier, modern fuse accessible under seat. Pazon electronic ignition.
New 26mm (std) Amal Mk1 Concentric carbs with twin pull twist grip. PAPERWORK.
V5C, 1972 (EK engine and frame numbers). Regstered as a “K” and classified Historic, so free road tax and MOT exempt.
