NOTE: - It has come to our attention that certain people have commented that this Panther is not original & that it should have the full width interchangeable alloy hubs with the 8" x 1½" brakes. Having researched this we can now state that the half width hubs fitted to this machine are correct! The evidence is presented below in photographs of an original 1960 Panther foldout sales brochure. For 1960 there were two Model 100's available; the M100 Standard & the M100 Deluxe. If you read the description of the Model 100 you will see that it says the M100 Deluxe had the full width interchangeable alloy hubs with the 8" x 1½" brakes. If you read the specifications for the two machines you will note that the M100 Standard has an 7" x 1⅛" front brake & an 8" x 1" rear brake (clearly not interchangeable alloy hubs with different size brakes), while the M100 Deluxe has an 8" x 1½" front brake & an 8" x 1½" rear brake (interchangeable alloy hubs with the same size brakes). Also please note that the M100 Standard has a single port head, while the M100 Deluxe has a twin port head. We trust that any 'experts' will do their homework before disseminating false & inaccurate information!
