Priced at £7,250. This is a machine that we are offering on behalf of the owner. This is what he has to say about his Triumph: -
Here we have a very pretty, matching numbers, Triumph TR6R, built in 1968 to Export spec and sent to the USA. Repatriated in 2012 for a "last nut and bolt" restoration by the current owner. Now eight years of reliable service. The bike starts, runs and stops as it should. All mechanical and electrical systems work correctly. Professionally resprayed to 1968 original Export colours.
Rewired, modern electrics including 180W alternator, solid state reg/rectifier, Boyer ignition, and a very bright LED pilot light. Wheels rebuilt and recently fitted with Avon Roadriders. Recent Motobatt battery. Reconditioned speedo showing 5800 miles since restoration.
Engine rebuilt by Triumph expert Dave Degens of Dresda fitting new oil pump, valves guides and followers. New clutch. Cams are 3134s (standard for this model and the same as the Bonneville). Dresda pushrod tubes machined to fit and do not leak.
