Priced at SOLD. First registered on the 15th of June 1954. This machine has come to us from the estate of a well respected London classic motorcycle mechanic who moved to North East Essex long number of years ago, to work in local bike shop (specialising in AMC's). This Norton is an early Featherbed frame example with the rare bolt up rear subframe, & had been the subject of a long ongoing in depth restoration. Work done included - blasted & primed frame & swinging arm, rebuilt lined & painted wheels, refurbished petrol tank, new cables throughout, new exhaust pipes & silencers, new seat, plus much, much more. The bike had reached the stage of being completely dry built & is now ready for the next fortuitous owner to complete. Naturally this fine motorcycle has matching numbers. Comes with the latest DVLA V5C registration document, is registered under the 'Historic Vehicle' class for free road tax & benefits from being MOT exempt.
